Ok let's have a fun discussion here. I want to know if you think riding is a good workout or not. Now first things first, I will agree that it's not full cardio like running, walking, etc. BUT I do say it's a pretty good workout. Thoughts/opinions/comments?

Can't say I've ever done it. But, personally, I'd say it would be a somewhat workout.

I did it when I was little. It was pretty hard back then since I was little but don't you have to like balance yourself plus pull back pretty hard sometimes or somethin'?

You have to be able to balance and use your body to control the horse. You never pull back hard unless the need arises. Typically all you should be able to do is lean back in the saddle and the horse will respond right away. Depends on the horse/rider. For instance I can't use hand or leg on my horse. I have to use just my seat. It's hard >_>

It's like really hard to ride on a horse without anything like on it you know, like you don't sit on something or whatever, you just hop on.

You have now reached the extent of my horse knowledge! :P

Actually I find it WAY easier to go bareback than with a saddle. Feels more comfortable and helps me achieve the necessary balance I need. That may just be me though.
