The minister was purposefully saying things to generate a massive amount of negative media attention around Obama's campaign, it was within both common sense and a call for a fresh start for Obama to cease his connection to him otherwise. Wouldn't you agree?

I was very happy with the way Obama passed by this issue. It doesn't seem to be brought up anymore, which is exactly what needed to happen.

True, but I've noticed that any "crisis" mentioned in the press is a " dividing issue" where we're supposed to view his religious affiliations in context with political agenda. Wasn't the same said for Kennedy before he assumed office as though we were worried that the Pope would regulate American policy? However, he saw more action than many of his previous predecessors would have.
